"WE CARE"
Through stifling heat or bitter cold
Such hardships you endure,
"All you", of our armed forces
Do bring freedom to the fore.
By choice you took upon yourselves
To do this dangerous deed,
To sacrifice and suffer your life-
For all people now in need.
From the bitter cold at Valley Forge,
To the camps of Morristown,
The Rag tag army of Washington,
For freedom,
Took the enemy down.
From the fields of Old Antietam-
To the shores of Normandy,
"You carry the American Spirit-
To give all Liberty."
Though Nations mock and scorn us
And say such arrogance, "thee,"
Just remember, you young soldiers,
You've slopped through the mud
And shed more blood, than any in history.
And why, you ask young soldiers?
T'was that Freedom shall ever be.
So, we thank you all for protecting us,
Please accept these small gifts we send,
May God protect you and keep you safe-
Till we see this battle end.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you,
As you fight the evil beast,
Good wishes and love, we send to you all
From the folks from Hanover East.
